When in Rome do as any upstanding roman would; stay at the Savoy Hotel Rome. After a completely relaxing three day stay at the luxurious Savoy Hotel you will have nothing but positive things to say. The location is perfect and the amenities are top notch. But wait...there's more.

The Savoy Hotel is right smack in the middle of Rome.

The Hotel Savoy is in the center of Rome just off via Veneto and a heartbeat away from the Villa Borghese gardens, Museum Borghese, Piazza di Spagna, and the amazing Trevi Fountains. All major cultural features and attractions as well as the tourist "sites to see" are nearby. It is within a football toss of one of Italy's most famous shopping centers, the Spanish Steps .

The Savoy Hotel, with its close proximity to the center of Rome and historic sights, easily fits the bill as a top notch hotel.

What the Hotel Savoy Has to Offer.

The Hotel itself is magnifico; it is a traditional and recently renovated historic hotel. The elegant décor does nothing but compliment its modern amenities and facilities. Each of the 135 rooms have been classically styled, and are extremely comfortable- equipped with satellite television, mini bar, as well as air conditioning.

Dine in style high atop the city of Rome at the rooftop gardens and restaurant of the Savoy Hotel, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. Enjoy the splendid view of the heavens and stars as Caesar himself once did, all in the comfort of your hotel. Want to enjoy the nightlife of Rome? Hotel Savoy is within walking distance of many of Rome's most popular bars and night clubs.

Is the Hotel Savoy In Rome Out Of My Price Range?

As far as affordability, the Hotel Savoy is not the cheapest hotel in Rome, but it is also not the most expensive. You get exactly what you pay for when staying at the Savoy.

Expect to spend about 350 Euros (493 U.S. dollars) for a single room, one night stay. Extravagant...maybe, but trust me when I say it is worth every penny.

From time to time the Hotel Savoy will offer great promotions to entice any travelers who still have money to spend. One promotion that is offered is for a minimum two -nights stay; for a rate of 160 Euros (226 U.S. dollars) per night. If you're lucky enough to come across this promotion, take it, as it will not last long.

Expect VIP service upon arrival, including quick room check-in and a buffet style breakfast. The price does vary per room, whether you require a single, double, or triple room but still maintains an affordable rate.

For a central location, beautiful surroundings, excellent culture, and for some, a very affordable price, you can't go wrong with the Savoy Hotel in Rome.

Like a well known proverb which says When in Rome, be like the Romans. Hence, visiting Rome should be at least a five day affair to experience the real Roman culture. Moreover, avoid hotels if you really want to get a feel of the place. Instead, you can try renting a holiday apartment which is cheap and convenient and allows you the freedom to do your own thing.

On the first day, you can visit the Colosseum. Make sure you are there around 9 am, so that you can get some great photos before it gets crowded and explore to your heart s content. After you have had your fill of the Colosseum, you can use the rear exit and look at the Roman Forum which has some great ancient temples. The Basilica of Maxentius is quite beautiful as well. Moving on, you can visit the Capitoline Hill along with the Rostra platform. It was this platform, where Mark Antony delivered his famous tribute to Julius Caesar and changed the history. If you feel like having some lunch, you can book a table at Vecchia Roma. You can visit the Pantheon on Via di Minerva after your lunch and spend some time here. Piazza Navona, which is about a couple of blocks away, is a great place of an evening meal or a cappuccino.

On the second day, you can have a look at the Vatican Museums. Some great masterpieces like St. Peter s Basilica, the Stanze rooms and the Sistine Chapel are some of the must see masterpieces. Start your day early here so that you leave before it starts getting crowded. If you want a view of the city you can walk up the Spanish Steps and even look the Keats-Shelly house on the way. If you want to experience the true Roman coffee, then you can drop in at one of the most ancient coffee houses of Rome called the Antico Cafe Greco which is situated on Via Condotti. For people who like some disco music, you can end the day at Jackie Oas discotheque or if you want a quieter evening, visit the Baroque church orchestral concert.

The third day can be spent in looking at some of the most beautiful churches and pagan temples of Rome like the Tempio di Vesta and Tempio della Fortuna Virilis. Pont Santa Angelo with Berninias angel statues is also worth seeing.

On the fourth day, take a break and relax. You can either spend the day resting in your holiday apartment or visit the gardens at Tivoli. You can relish your evening meal complete with a great view at Ristorante Sibilla.

Finally on the fifth day, you can immerse your self in the Roman culture with a number of famous museums which house the famous works of the masters.

When you visit Rome, take your time and allow yourself to experience the culture completely. Instead of spending a fortune in hotel rooms, save money by renting a holiday apartment which allows you to enjoy your holiday to the maximum!
